Iris was the first alpaca that we purchased for SoCal Suris, and she remains one of our favorites. Her sire is the full-Accoyo, Rising Son, a light fawn male born of Peruvian imports Miguel and Phaedra.
She carries fawn from both of her parents, and Iris has produced dark brown, medium fawn, and white crias. Iris has been a trouble free and reliable producer of lovely, healthy crias. She passes strong bone structure, good locking, and very good luster to her crias. Iris has a strong maternal instinct and has shown interest in other crias rejected by their dams. Her third offspring, Pisco, can boast of numerous blue ribbons and a color championship--and believe me, if alpacas can boast, our "showy" Pisco boasts!
