Welcome to Heritage Homestead, a small alpaca farm nestled in the rolling countryside of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. What began in 2010 as a family adventure quickly grew into a heartfelt passion for these gentle, curious animals and the incredible fiber they produce.
Our herd is lovingly cared for year-round, and each spring we shear their fleeces to create the luxurious yarns you’ll find in our Etsy shop. Every skein tells a story.
We hand-sort and clean every fleece ourselves, and our yarns are then either hand-spun or processed by a small, family-run mill. The result? 100% alpaca fiber that’s buttery soft, lightweight, and ready to become something beautiful in your hands. Here at the homestead we lovingly weave or crochet our yarns into beautiful scarves and other products.
At Heritage Homestead, we believe in simple joys, honest craftsmanship, and the warmth that comes from creating something by hand. Whether you’re knitting, crocheting, or weaving, we hope our yarns bring a touch of our farm’s peace and comfort to your own home.
