White River Alpacas, LLC is located just minutes east of Springfield, Missouri at the “Top of the Ozarks” in Marshfield. We’ve been in business since 2001. Our emphasis is on quality through and through. We don’t import products for a farm store – we create them. We don’t “collect” alpacas; we breed for high quality and sell them on a limited scale. We don’t cater to tour busses, although visitors are always welcome. And although each of our “kids” give kisses, are absolutely adorable, have respect for us and are halter trained, that’s not who we are. Our goal is to offer Missouri the best selection of herdsires with nationally recognized bloodlines and proven championship genetics to create alpacas that can compete on a national level. And if they aren’t good enough to show, then they will not go into our breeding program, and will not be sold as herdsires.

After many years of research and investing in high quality herdsires; we think we’re there. Our next goal is to be the premiere farm in Missouri for high quality, award-winning champion alpacas. Our breeding program has suffered a couple of severe setbacks, but we’re back on track and the quality level that we’re currently producing is able to compete with the “big farms” on a national level for quality of fiber and phenotype.

Stacy has spent years studying the alpaca industry; and has created White River’s breeding philosophy based on industry experts, international alpaca judges and successful alpaca breeders from across the country. "When I implemented the successful breeding and selection tactics I learned from Industry Legends, our own breeding program pronked into success!"

Our sales philosophy is simply this: we want to help our customers succeed by helping them find the right alpaca to fit their needs - not just make a "sale". Honesty and integrity are important to us. And we want our customers to be satisfied with their purchase today and into the future.
