| LaQuinta has a beautiful true black fleece, with excellent staple length and a soft handle. LaQuinta is a proven attentive mom, passing on her easy attitude, fine fleece, wonderful head style to her cria's. LaQuinta herself was never shown in halter, but has won ribbons for her fleece. She comes from a long line of known bloodlines.LaQuinta has given us excellent offspring and all have been ribbon winners! She has proven to be an excellent foundation female for us. A big thank you to Penny Holbrook from Black Hills Alpacas in WA for selling us this stunningly handsome true black reserve champion!
Proven herdsire: Tahoe has 6 cria on the ground and several more coming in 2010. He is producing some awesome looking cria with beautiful fleeces-True Black out of Dark Brown and Bay Black, Dark Silver Grey out of Light Fawn, Light Brown out of Medium Fawn, and Medium Brown out of Medium Brown. He is throwing color at least as dark as the dam and most of the time darker.
Conformation: Wonderful conformation, compact and square with excellent bone, wide chest and a gorgeous headpiece.
Fleece: Extremely dense with a very high frequency, high amplitude crimp. Tahoe's fleece is bright, uniform, and very fine with tiny little bundles. His coverage is excellent. Very pretty, rich, solid, black fleece. Tahoe's CV at age 2 was only 17.7%!
Temperament/Personality: Easy to handle, easy going male.
Background: Tahoe has some very well known herdsires in his background, including full accoyo PPPeruvian Yupanqui, Peruvian Geronimo, PPPeruvian King, Peruvian Guellermo, Peruvian Don Julio, Hemingway, and Legacy de Bolivia. Exceptional genetics!
Tahoe earned his reserve championship in his first show going reserve to a Patagonia male. There were 43 black males shown!
Tahoe's first 5 breedings will be $1000. Discounts for multiple breedings. $500 down will hold your spot!
BVD free.
Congratulations to Ruth Kinkade of The Abbey Alpacas for her winning bid on Tahoe's donated breeding to the MN Alpaca Expo 2010 for the U-MN Vet School!
