Will he follow in the footsteps of his siblings? There is the Championship winning Chase Tavern Tango(1/2 sib, via dam), sold to be a herdsire at Marathon Alpacas - and his full sisters, Chase Tavern's Float Like a Butterfly (sold for $40,000) and Stings Like a Bee(again, over $20,000), who went on to Flying Pony Alpacas as valued foundation dams after many winnings in the show ring.
My visions of breedings to grey dams have begun in earnest and his visions of breeding to anybody have as well! PT settled his first female in January 2011 and the pregnancy went on to produce a curley fibered beige male cria. I'm betting that he will grow to look like his grandsire, Evander. He produced a true black male out of a rose grey dam, and a dark brown male out of a brown dam. His next cria is due in early fall 2013, out of my fancy patterned girl, Camelot.
