** Alaska has a typey frame and stylish head with nice jaw line and bite (never trimmed). She sports a solid white fleece with tight, uniform crimp, soft handle, nice density, and complete coverage. She has one quarter-sized medium brown spot on her head so should throw color. She’s got a terrific personality which she has passed on to her offspring, and is by far one of our sweetest and calmest dams, even when pregnant!
Alaska has thrown 2 very nice female crias to date. Her latest, Cicely was awarded 6th place in a very competitive white juvenile female class of 14 at the 2010 Indiana Alpaca Invitational!! According to the judge, she made the cut because of her brightness of fleece, fineness and soft handle. We are very proud of her!
Alaska has something very special going for her – lots of female offspring born to her ancestors! Great grand-dam PPPeruvian Charissa (imported and registered 10/95) lists 9 female offspring; her grand-dam, MFI Peruvian Angela (DOB 11/96) lists 5 female offspring; her dam, Artic Blitz (DOB 8/02) lists 4 female offspring; and Alaska herself has had 2 crias to date, both female!
Alaska has been bred to Protégé and ultra sounded positive for a spring 2011 cria. We expect this mating will create yet another lovely cria!
Alaska’s bloodlines are impeccable too – on her dam’s side, Accoyo Pperuvian Timoteo and PPPeruvian Bravado, and on her sire’s side Peruvian Oro!
