This gal's heritage is loaded in color, with her grandsire being the renowned true black herdsire Jericho 69I from Canada (Okanagan Alpacas) -- whose offspring were born even at 'big name' farms like Snowmass, CCNF, and A.L.Paca and include 52% black, 23% brown, and 16% grey offspring with 67% being females.

On her maternal side, Gabe's Mocha also has a strong Bolivian heritage from the Acero Marka line as well as a solid Peruvian influence from the famous PPeruvian Victor, who brought his fineness and brightness to his breedings.

Gabe reflects this strong color pedigree in her own dark coloration with black points on her rich MB fleece.

She presents herself in a friendly and easy-going manner, always sweet and easy to handle. Her bite and jaw alignment is good. She is well balanced in her conformation with a mature frame that is good for birthing. Gabe has been an easy keeper, breeder, and great dam to her crias. She is an attentive mom -- with no breeding, birthing or nursing worries.

Her fiber has a nice shine to it and good handle with crimp still evident even after producing crias for us. Her fiber staple length is still over 3" long and her fleece density is good. In choosing her breeding to our Fossil Ridge's Patriot, we are looking to bring greater structure to her crimp and the density associated with higher organization. In addition to the show-type style that Patriot brings to the breeding we are hoping to bring forth any hidden 'white spot gene'. She has given us two rose grey offspring, a modern medium rose grey and a modern dark rose grey. Though both modern and classic greys are considered equally in the show ring, we like the way that classic rose grey alpacas look and hope to achieve one with this pairing.

Her price includes an additional breeding to any one of our soley owned herdsires after her cria is born this summer. This price gets you a dark-colored, proven, and easy-keeping dam with heavy color genetics and a diversity of heritage, AND her likely grey cria by a color champion Peruvian Dracula grandson, AND her next breeding to one of our herdsires.
