Legacy's PHA Peruvian Taos is truly a magnificent Full-Peruvian 3/4 Accoyo 1/4 Allianza herdsire. This herdsire brings the complete package from proper conformation down to an exceptional elite fleece. The fineness this boy delivers is well documented from his own annual fiber analysis to his sired crias. This trait is very desirable and our goal within our breeding program.

How is this possible?

Taos proudly carries the genes of two well known and respected herdsires. His father is the renowned 4-Peruvian Legacy 6016 and his grandsire is El Moustachio. Taos is also the ONLY Legacy son that carries both of these great genetics!

An indication of a great herdsire is the ability to hold a low micron and low CV as he ages. Taos clearly falls into this category with an impressive 21.3 FD and 18 CV at age 6 yrs! These fiber stats are nearly identical to Legacy for the same age.

Taos sired multiple color Champions including multi color champion BMF Taos Zeppelin this outstanding male carries the same impressive fiber stats and crimp in BAY BLACK! Taos also sired reserve color champion Nirvana in white. Next up is multi blue ribbon winner Pearl Jam in a Multi color phase. What all three of these boys have in common are similar fiber stats and crimp characteristics. Fineness with low FD and low CV 's are the common denominator with Taos off spring!

At 2005 AOBA Nationals, in addition to the 20 out of 20 for finess and handle, Taos also received the highest combined point total for Uniform Micron, Color, Crimp, Brightness, and lack of Medulation in a very competitive field.
