Thank you Mark & Jean of Stone Meadow Alpacas for letting me join you in half interest in this beautiful young male! He showed his stuff as a 6 month old in 2009 at PAOBA, and ribboned twice in 2010 at PAOBA and MAPACA, and three times more in over 2 yr old classes. Only time will tell how good this male will be as his cria start to arrive. It is exciting to see the brightness, density, and structure all combined into such a dark uniform color of grey. It all comes in a sweet natured package which makes heard health much nicer than with others!
Granite is a PPeruvian Leon grandson. Other notables in his lineage includes WoodsEdge Macgyver and Peruvian Macusani. His 1/2 brother (via sire, Charleston), Stone Med Matrix, is a 3 time banner winner; twice for fleece, once in halter!
Granite will help take my breeding program for greys to it's next level. Not proven yet with a cria on the ground, but he has one cria on the way, due in March 2013, and hopefully many more to come.
