When we choose breeding males and females our number one criteria is depth of pedigree. Pucara Invictus has that. The dam of this female has been a beauty for us, always giving us top quality cria. We just sold her 2007 male cria for work as a stud, a Snowmass Perfection boy we named Pucara Javier, a superbly fine and dense boy that has a show record with a second in the Nationals to his credit. Pic below.
Accent's Arika does not disappoint. You can see she is a well put together specimen of the huacaya breed with robust frame, good bone and curb appeal. She sports a fleece blessed with that rich nutmeg color and a brightness that shows off a fine crimp with staple formation and a super soft handle. She is blessed with above average density too, and there is cover to the ground. She has that kerb appeal that good breedings programs aim for.
When you see her genetics you'll see she'll be hard to pass up. On the top side you have our Snowmass Royal Accent representing Bueno, Hemingway and two doses of Legacy, then the dam Pinga brings in the super fine and dense Studmaster male Peruvian K-2. Now that is a recipe for productive success.
The dam Pinga was 22.9 micron on her last test - at 6 years of age - with a 15.9cv cutting 6lb of skirted fleece. The sire Snowmass Royal Accent on his last shearing cut 6.23lb of heavily skirted fleece with a 22.9micron and a 19.3cv...so there's your sign!!!!
For her 2012 cria we decided to breed her to Pucara Invictus a boy we bred ourselves adding two unrelated lines that will compliment density and fineness. We are excited about Invictus because he is out of our best Snowmass female Snowmass Chanel Sun, a Messiah daughter and Snowmass Trilogy, a dominant herdsire owned by Snowmass at the time. An August 2012 baby on the way but we will confirm dates. With this breeding we are adding five layers of discerning Snowmass breeding! That includes Legacy, Hemingway, Snowmaster, and Chaccu and the stud dams, Melody, Lily, Chastity, Liberty Bell, Kachina, all skillfully line bred into a superb pedigree.
On her second fiber test you can see she is holding her fineness.
She has just had a female cria by Snowmass Royal Promise who has the look of potential that is inclusive of this sale.
