Older girl imported in utero. Alibi is an excellent dam with plenty of milk for fast growing babies. Delivered here in late August with 09 daughter. open as owners had divested of all males and were moving into sheep farming, taking some rare Cottswold sheep from this area.
She has gray on her face and might produce gray bred right. We waited to breed her until we had the outstanding accoyo Rockstar son we had been working with another farm to acquire. That has happened in early November and she is spitting.
Alibi is very even tempered and well mannered. She births easily with no assistance and produces crias with high igg numbers. With a true black dam, she has been bred to white and light fawn and has produced 4 dark browns, and true black. Currently has hyperkeritosis (a thickening of the skin w/hair loss) but doesn't seem to be bothered by it. Vet said she will probably not get improve. This is a new development last winter at her Johnstown Farm and she is not contagious. She has recently put on some weight and has many good, productive years ahead of her.
When she arrived at her new farm in Morrow Co, we found she had not been halter trained. This is not serious as we do not intend to parade her places. She is easy to catch, do a T-touch on, or hold in the 'bracelet (Marty Mcgee Bennet) and halter when needed. She pays attention to verbals and hand instructions and learns from watching others that it is safe to be close to the people here. Some of our female llamas like to give smooches and nuzzle handlers and she watches this intently.
Awaiting her summer cria now.
