Earth's Gaia is one of those females that immediately captures your attention! She is a very proud female with tons of confidence. Gaia is heavy boned, solid structure, and has that presence that shouts, "look at me!" Her fiber is very fine with an excellent handle and plenty of character. Check out her 6 year old histogram results, impressive! She has nice staple length as she ages.
Gaia has had three crias and you couldn't ask for a better production female. She breeds easily, births... |

Beautiful black tipped, Maroon female, with playful appaloosa spotting in silver, rose, and fawn!
Selene is a half sister to two other award winning appaloosas in our herd, Tempe and Solis. She's also related to both on her maternal side so we guessed she'd produce the same high quality offspring as her siblings, and we were right! She's also a half sister to our beautiful Jezza who produces the most amazing cria!
Selene comes from a line of dams with terrific milk production. Crias from this line are healthy, alert, and gain weight with ease. Bred to MaRS Taxco for her first cria, we were hoping that Selene would produce gray when bred to gray just like her sister, Tempe. As soon as I saw her cria's nose, I knew it was gray. And his fleece is incredible, with crimp, intense color, and brightness! He was sold at 6 months of age. If you're looking for a no-nonsense production female with a long life still ahead of her, Selene just might be your girl! Selene's fleece numbers seem to have settled in the 24 to 25 micron range as a female in production. She did retain one of her baby teeth while the adult teeth were coming in, resulting in a bit of a cross over on her front teeth. She is able to maintain her bite and the baby tooth has since fallen out.
Selene comes with a complimentary breeding to any of the Alpacas from MaRS herdsires. We currently have 2 grays, Ultima and Foxy's Fortune, that you might want to consider!
City Alpacas was a small herd owned by my mother and the herd has been basically a herd within the MaRS herd. My mother wants to retire so we are offering her alpacas at special prices. We will provide our regular follow the female breeding guarantee. If you have any issue with a cria sired by one of our males, a re-breeding will be offered. Full reproductive guarantee on Selene.
