| This Dark Rose Grey male has a proud stance and handles well on the lead. He is a medium sized male which makes him a good match for the smaller female and has a gentle disposition. Tia is a gentle, sweet beautiful medium fawn fading to a light fawn (she is registered as dark fawn but I think she is closer to medium fawn. When we parted her fleece today, I was pleasantly surprised at how dense she was, while wearing a tighter crimp structure, maintained from the base of the skin all the way to the tips. For a breeding female with the third cria in the making and a cria at side, she is maintaining her fleece structure beautifully. I always say go back and look at the females fleece prior to breeding, I have found that is a pretty good indicator what she can put on the ground from her side of the equation.
Tia has had 2 crias (male and female) both births trouble free, great mom, loving with lots of milk.

Dave and Sharon chose to breed Tia to our own, Derwydd's Francisco Anka-True black, full peruvian herdsire....why Anka???? Hoping to push color and bring in the fineness that Anka brings to his crias. Tia is due August of 2013. She will sell with a breedback, if you choose to breed her back to Anka we will honor the breeding or you may choose from any herdsire owned by Shooting Star Alpaca Farm. (yes you may transfer the breeding)
So why is Dave selling Tia, it happens to all of us, crias are made and we just can't sell them...then one day we realize our entire herd is related! So Dave's overlap is your gain.
Tia's fiber has been sent for processing but if you want a fleece sample I will be happy to run over to Dave's a short 20 minutes a way and take a sample from her side for you.
