Quintero's Butterfly Ballet is owned and offered for sale by a non-profit called The Kiva Connection (www.kivaconnection.org) with the help of their exclusive agent, Wren Owens and via The Secret Meadow (where new beginnings are born!). You have a chance to obtain Ballet and her 2011 cria along with the other 11 alpacas in her herd at an unspeakable price, but only within the magical, private environment of The Secret Meadow.

Beaux Reve D'Argent (pronounced "Bo-Rev-Dargean") received his name due to his absolute beauty. In French his name means "Beautiful Dream of/in Silver."
Beaux Reve reminds me very much of his grandsire, Kiva's Quintero, a light silver grey stud Close-Knit had several years ago. A customer insisted on buying him, wouldn't take "no" for an answer, and so I let him go. I'm hoping Beaux Reve will aptly replace his grandsire in the Close-Knit Breeding program.
Beaux Reve's fleece is remarkable. Super crimpy, with beautiful density and soft hand. The most astounding feature of his fiber, though, is the stunning steel blue-grey color! Quintero's fiber is dense, too, and has a gorgeous uniformity like Beaux's, with a periwinkle blue-grey coloration. Quintero also has the all white face, which has been passed down to his daughter, Ballet, and now his grandson, Beaux Reve D'Argent!
Beaux Reve was also blessed with big, solid and straight bone, with correct conformation and an upright presence. Add to this the inheritance of his dam's electric blue crescents in the lower halves of each eye and we are looking at one MESMERIZING, HANDSOME SILVER MALE.
Beaux Reve is also personable. He walks right up to me (or visitors) and loves to have his neck rubbed and to receive kisses. He's very communicative, clucking and humming along. I have been able to really play with this guy out in the field with a couple of his buddies. He is quite comfortable with my hands being all over him, just like his friend, Mastermind's Pop-Quiz (already set to go to a new home with their other friend, Madame's Symphony). It's nice to be able to hug and hold, rustle and tussle with such a soft and sweet creature, even if only for a few weeks. He's now getting big enough that he is learning to respect the personal space of others (humans especially).
Hopes are that Beaux Reve D'Argent may win some ribbons & become a herd sire someday!
