We added Janus' Ducati to our row of herdsires because he has an incredible pedigree, with fineness & density throughout. His own first year histogram demonstrates consistency and fineness. His first histogram is 18.7 3.6 19.5 and 1.9 > 30%. Absolutely wonderful for a black alpaca.
Ducati also boasts wonderful density, well organized crimp and brightness, with virtually no guard hair.
His conformation is also very nice. He has a correct bite, large bones, a solid frame and a upstanding body style.
Ducati was sired by Snowmass Sterling Legend a World Fleece Champion. It doesn't stop there. Ducati's Granddad is none other than the famous Snowmass Nova, who was a Chamipion Herdsire of the Year--sired by Snowmass Peruvian Cassanova, also a Champion Herdsire of the Year!
His dam is Premier's Adriana, a blue ribbon winner herself. She was sired by Mile High The Reverend Mr. Black, a Black Color Champion. The Reverend's sire was Maplebrook Fandango, a Sire of Champions.
Ducati also boasts 4Peruvian Legacy, Peruvian Bueno and 5Peruvian Ajoyani 8503 in his pedigree.
We have bred Ducati to 2 of our dams and 3 visiting dams the summer of 2012. Now, we wait!
