Bidding Info

Induna is owned by Julie Jarvinen of Pine Forty Farms. Pine Forty is a large herd of 100+ suris boarded in three locations in the U.S. This dam is available exclusively via The Secret Meadow of Close-Knit Alpacas and can be purchased individually OR as part of an incredible Collection at an "unspeakable" price found only in The Secret Meadow.

Induna resides in Iowa and is under the watchful care of veterinarian Bill Hedberg. I interviewed Bill to find out a little more about this girl directly from him.

Bill tells us Induna's temperament is very "outgoing," so if you like a lively, engaging alpaca, Induna will please you with her forthright personality.

When I asked Bill what he feels stands out most about Induna, he replied, "Her size and conformation." I can see why he would say that, via her pictures, but Bill has confirmed this with his hands on, face to face and day to day exposure to Induna.

Induna's 2011 fleece exhibits a straight, well-locked structure in a uniform light fawn color, with nice hand and decent sheen.

What about where she falls in the pecking order of the herd? Bill says she's right up there around the "top half of the pack." No surprise there! Oh, and when I asked Bill what one word most aptly describes Induna, his response was "BIG" LOL!

Induna's a terrific production dam, having produced quality offspring. She's "easy to breed and tease and is an outstanding mother giving birth to large crias," says Bill.

"Induna is well trained - she's a multiple show winner and she's curious and outgoing," continued Dr. Hedberg. All of these are wonderful characteristics, traits and qualities of Induna which make her desirable for any serious suri program.

3 cria: 1 female + 2 unregistered males; male cria at side DOB=7-15-11 (Says Julie, "He can go with his mom if Induna's buyer wants him, too!" Whoohoo! Good deal!
