Sweet Pea is owned by Julie Jarvinen of Pine Forty Farms. Sweet Pea is being boarded in Iowa at Bill Hedberg Farms, Inc. Her caregiver, veterinarian Bill Hedberg, was kind enough to give us some specifics about her, since he's got day to day experience with this dam.

I first asked Bill how he can best describe Sweet Pea's temperament and he tells us she's "shy and a little skittish." When I asked him what stands out the most about her, he said "Her size and color!" In one word? "Big" was Bill's immediate answer....lol! I did push him a little further and asked if there is anything outstanding, negative or positive, that should be disclosed about Sweet Pea, and his answer was "She has a nervous disposition," so it's important that you know that from the outset. She'll need patience and some time to get used to you, but "she's well trained!"

Sweet Pea, like her "patterned" 1/2 sister, Belle Star (also on this sales list), is a Bril Creme daughter. Bril Creme is a white and true black Bolivian stud sired by Highlander of Bolivia and out of Shaquar of Bolivia.

Sweet Pea's conformation is nice and "square," really balanced, which you can see in her photos. Her top line is straight, and she has a good dental bite, too.

Sweet Pea's 2011 fleece sample displays a beautiful color and has a soft hand. Please be sure to request a sample so you can see and feel it for yourself...Just lovely.

Julie reveals, "She's only had 1 cria, Bredo, who's also on the sales list. Like her dam, Florida, Sweet Pea put a lot of energy into milk production. In doing so, she lost weight. We elected to give her a year off before re-breeding her, then along came the recession so she was held open."
