D.O.B. 6/10/2009 (4 yrs) (Due Date: 6/20/2014)
Huacaya, Female (Bred), Proven | Bay Black

Magic is a beautiful bay black girl. She is a good sized girl with a wonderful personality. She loves to eat out of your hand, or better yet, straight from the bucket in your hand. She often comes over to see what you are doing, just in case there is food involved.
Magic has won a ribbon at every show she has been to, against tough competition, including some half sibblings.
At the Alpaca Ontario show (the largest in Canada) in 2010, she got 4th as a Juvenile - the judge commented on how much fibre Magic had and how wonderful her conformation was. The thing that got her put down to 4th - the crimp didn't go all the way to the tips. (we had been pulling timothy heads off her all winter). The lack of crimp from base to tip was no longer an issue when we got to the next show. At the Canadian National Alpaca Futurity & Sale, she came in second to her half sister, BOF Domino (also sired by SSA Sunset Riley). And she got another one at the Alpaca Ontario show in 2011, this time placeing ahead of Domino.
Her 2013 histogram came back with a result of 22.28 microns and a comfort factor of 91%. That is excellent for a black. She also has a nice staple growth; her blanket was 4" long in 2013.
She is a very good mom, bonding with her crias quickly and being protective but, not too protective. She has plenty of milk; even when her 2012 cria decided she should nurse too.
Magic's 2012 cria was a girl, sired by Conclusive AOC (a fawn male), who we named Victory's Maple Fudge. Maple has attended two shows, and has won 1st place both times. She will be at the CNASF East this October and we expect great things.
Magic's 2013 cria was a boy, sired by Splitrock's Maybe I'm Amazed (a black male), who we named Victory's Amazing Magic Tuxedo. He is still young, but looks promising. He already wants to be a stud, in fact, he will NOT be weaned with his sisters. Look for him at the AO show in April 2013.
Magic has been bred back to Splitrock's Maybe I'm Amazed. We expect to see another AMAZING cria next June.
As you can see, when bred to a fawn, Magic produced a fawn (her mother and grandmother are fawn) and when bred to black, she produced black (her father is black). So she deffinetely produces colour.
We have now gotten two wonderful crias from Magic and it is time to let her genetics play a role in somebody elses herd. She will make a wonderful addition to any herd, especially if you want colour.
