ROXY has maintained one of the the softest, brightest, True Black fleeces on the farm. Yarn spun from her fiber is always the first to sell out. Her handle is exceptional and she has maintained a bright soft fleece with age.

This soft and bright trait comes in large part from a highly developed sebaceuos gland structure that she shares with JETSON. This produces a bright well nourished fleece. It is highly heritable, and her cria exhibit this.

ROXY is a healthy dam, an easy breeder and birther, and a great mom with plenty of milk.

Q: How does an Openherd Auction work? I have never bought on Openherd before?
A : Openherd Auction terms can be found at http://www.openherd.com/terms.aspx. Put simply, all terms are between the buyer and seller. At the end of the auction, Openherd notifies us who the winning bidder was and we contact them to arrange the sale. NOTE: You need to be an Openherd Member to bid. IT’S FREE at:

Q: Will you agist the Cria for a while? I do not want to move so close to due date.
A: Normal birthing costs and 30 days FREE agisting will be included. After 30 days you will be assessed an agistment fee for the Dam & Cria.

Q: Is a live birth guarantee offered?
A: Yes, a 30 day live birth guarantee is included.

Q: What about transportation?
A: Buyer is responsible for arrangement and cost of transport, as well as the cost of any medical tests required for transportation to your state. The Cria will be BVD tested before transport at seller cost.

Q: What are your payment Terms?
A: We accept Major credits cards, cash or check. We will offer financing of 50% down and 50% in 60 days for bids of over $2000. Title of alpaca and cria will be held until all payments are made.
