Marcy Jean is the granddaughter of 6PERUVIAN ACCOYO TITAN, via her sire, RAL TITAN’S MERCURY RISING…and just on her sire’s side of her pedigree alone, she boasts other notables, like: PPERUVIAN TIMOTEO and PERUVIAN HEMINGWAY! Her dam’s side offers PPPERUVIAN ROYAL FAWN, PPPERUVIAN GRAND MASTER, PERUVIAN DON JULIO and even SILVESTRE! Take a good look at her ARI certificate and you’ll see all the details.
Marcy Jean has what her owners call “a gentle spirit,” going on to say that “She is still young, so that could change. She is not passive, though.”
When I asked the Williams what they can share with us about her breeding/mothering qualities, they answered with the following: “Unfortunately we won’t be breeding her due to stopping the breeding program on our farm. Her mother is a great mom and I’m sure Marcy will have no problems with breeding and being a good mother.” Well, since reproductive traits ARE highly heritable, I suspect this will be quite true.
Next, I asked Kathy and Ralph what they feel stands out most about Marcy Jean. “Her fleece,” they both chimed…”It bundles with lots of crimp and is so soft. This is her cria fleece. I’m sure it will only get better. I believe her fleece is going to be very dense. I love everything about Marcy Jean. She has a nice temperament, like her sire.”
In a word? Marcy Jean is, described by her owners, “Complete.”
“She is beautiful in every way,” gushes Kathy….I agree!
Her first fleece was at 7.5 months growth at first shearing and so the clip weighed in at 3 pounds…Not bad!
Marcy Jean "halters, leads and behaves well and without any problems during Herd Health procedures."
