My Peruvian Equador

Huacaya, Male, Proven, Light Fawn, Full Peruvian
ARI# 817854 | DOB: 2/21/2000
For those who need the scientific stats provided by skin biopsy to back up the claim of lingering fineness, here they are!

In June 2012, we had then 12-year-old My Peruvian Equador evaluated by Dr. Norm Evans, who states that "Equador's strong fiber traits are his fiber density, cluster regularity, S/P ratio, gland density, and fineness. He shows few fibers over 30 microns. This male is loaded with prepotent male genetic fiber traits that have been associated with champions. Consider breedin...

Aramantha is one of two girls on our farm with the West Coast genetics of the 2005 AOBA National Grey Color Champion, Emerald Farm's Rincon Cloud. Aramantha's dam is our Chilean foundation matriarch, dark silver grey, MFI Cadence.

Aramantha is a lovely grey girl with very correct confirmation. Her color is a very even medium silver grey, with an adorable black heart on the l...

Seraphina is one big beautiful girl! She has the most exquisite carriage and is simply elegant when she moves!

Seraphina's maternal line hails from extremely hardy Chilean stock that produces big crias, with very high IgG's, that grow big fast. She did not lose a single ounce on the day after her birth. Instead, she gained four pounds in her first five days! She was weaned at 5 1/2 months at 78 pounds!

Seraphina's sire, My Peruvian Equador, has put an upgraded fleece on her. At birth, she was so dense it literally took some digging to even find her skin before we could get a color card at the base of the fiber to determine if she was a true black or bay black. She is holding her color at bay black! Her fleece is very dense and crimpy and there are tiny little crimps in Seraphina's topknot too! She has a full younger brother, Appalachian Blue, with the same exquisite carriage, size and fleece characteristics.

Seraphina is very easy to handle for herd health. She stands very still for anything, whether it be a shot or toenail trimming.

Seraphina is one of six Equador offspring born on our farm. Check out Equador's listing to see what Dr. Norm Evans has to say about his skin biopsy stats!

Update: Seraphina gave birth to her first cria on 06-07-17. The birth was uneventful and she had a big healthy boy that was born at 19.3 pounds and gained 6 pounds in his first 9 days on his dam's rich milk and with an IgG of greater than 2851! Check out his own listing under Pokey Pandolfi! She has been an exemplary first-time dam!

There is a rather long story behind Pandolfi's naming! It had partly to do with family's insistence since they missed his birth because his dam was in...
