Can you believe it's March already, seems like we just had Christmas! Guess we better start planning for the 2012 Christmas, since time is flying right by!
February was a nice, weird winter month this year. I don't remember any February's quite like it, March, if you can be just as good it will be very appreciated by all of us here in the Midwest. Today, supposed to be Sunny & 58 degrees, can't really beat that for March in Indiana! Tomorrow may be a different tale though with storms in the forecast. Yesterday morning brought news "from through the grapevine" about an alpaca farm where 25 alpacas died. Of course with all of the tornadoes overnight, we all thought it was due to that. Not the case. Sadly, it was a barn fire in Greenfield, Indiana where I think 25 alpacas did perish. They were alpacas that were raised as 4H animals for 4H kids around the state. Because of our "close KNIT" alpaca community, many are pulling together and will help restore 4H alpacas to that farm by donating some of theirs to the Melton's of Greenfield. With the onset of the tornado season, it is always scary thinking, wondering and hoping that our alpacas will all be okay in the barns as well as all of our friends and families and those we don't even know yet.
Here's to hoping March comes in like a Lamb and leaves the same way with lamby all in between too.
Until next time.................what do you have on your needles?
