Looking to Buy Grey and Rose Grey Fiber

As some of you know, we have started an apparel and accessories business called Whispirit. (If you have not "liked" us yet on facebook, please do.) We are planning our Winter 2012 line and need to be sure that we have available a certain amount of medium grey and rose grey fiber. We are looking for blanket fiber only, grades 1 and 2. If it is raw, we will need to be able to get it turned into batting on a very specific timeline, so ability to deliver on time is critical to our business plan. Please contact Lee Liggett at 505-252-0418 if you have fiber to sell us. You can also contact lee at whisperingspiritalpacas@gmail.com
Happy winter to all!

Whispering Spirit Alpacas is an alpaca breeding operation located in the New Mexico East Mountains off the famous Turquoise Trail. We started with five females with excellent conformation and lineage and focus our breeding program on fleece improvement.

Our herdsire, Grand River Mezcal's Chachapoyo, is a four year old silver grey who has produced two beautiful rose grey females (Angelite and Windchime), a medium grey girl (Belleza) and an identical boy (Sustantivo), and this summer, a bay black male (Sambra). Poyo has expanded our greylines -- an impressive progeny for our still young herdsire -- and is now being used for outside breedings.

We are having sucess with our white herdsire, Vencedor, who has sired a fabulous young male, Gaspar, and this summer produced two beautiful girls, Mariposa and Luna.

With our amazing FeltLOOM, we are creating yards of unique, one of a kind fabric using our alpaca fleece, alone and in combination with gorgeous silks, cottons, and even upholstery. We had a sucessful launch of our line of luxurious and unique women's apparel (jackets and hats), scarves, shawls, purses and other wearable art, all handcrafted in our "Fiber Arts Studio" here at WSA, at the Taos Fiber Market and will be showing up at high end, arts oriented fairs during the year. Watch this website to see dates and locations.

We are open and willing to discuss price and financing options. We also are happy to board any animal you purchase from us or from any other alpaca breeder for a fee of $3 per day per animal. Animals purchased here board free for three months. Of course we do not charge a boarding fee if you bring your female here to be bred to one of our herdsires. We are willing to purchase back fleece from any of our animals we sell at prevailing US market rates.
