Meet Our Full Peruvian Line Up of Herdsires

We began breeding alpacas in 2003 while we lived in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, and have continually worked to improve our herd through selective breeding and purchases. We now have one of the best suri herds in Northern California, featuring some of the best herdsires. Our bloodlines will will impress the most disconcerning breeder, we have reached across the United States to find our males and foundation females and bring them to our ranch.
Although our males are impressive, they are only half the equation, our females are nothing but amazing as well. Each female was picked based upon her particular traits, bloodlines or both. Many of our females as well as our males, have Champion ribbons.
We started with huacayas and still maintain and breed huacayas, our primary focus is on the suri's. Their visual beauty captivated me and their fiber has held that captivation. The gorgeous locks and luster make beautiful locks for dolls, I have several doll maker clients who come back year after year for my locks. It also spins into beautiful 100% suri yarn, don't let anyone tell you any different.
As far as color, we have a wide array of colors but I like to focus on natural colored yarns, so most of my herd is colored. GLR Baronoff throws some amazing patterns, fancies(SNR Mellinium) and greys (SNR Calypso), all of his crias that have been shown have brought home ribbons. His newest 2011 crias are incredible, we have to attribute that to some of the new females we brought in last year, we are anxious to walk into the show ring with them. He can really bring out the luster, density and amazing colors.
If it's greys you fancy, Platinum Marquis is nothing short of a legend. He is a great looking guy, at 8 years old he is still showing great independence of lock. He won't disappoint you, his crias are champions!
Hot and Heavy is our newest True Black herdsire, who is the son of Armed and Dangerous. Armed and Dangerous is the 2010 Herdsire of the Year and a National Champion. Hot and Heavy is also the grandson of the well known MacGyver.
Maharajah of PVA is our youngest herdsire, starting his breeding career in the Spring of 2012. Son of Balboa, I was drawn to Maharajah during our last show of 2011 because of his EXTREME (did I mention EXTREME) density, coverage, luster and oh yeah....that head! Can't wait to put this boy to work this year and see his offspring. AND he can't wait to get to work :)
We offer outside breedings to our males, we know the stress it can cause to have our females away so I will travel to you for multiple breedings or we offer drive by breedings at deep discounts.
