Holiday Alpaca Boutique
We're hosting a Holiday Alpaca Boutique at the farm on November 9th from 9 AM to 5 PM. Alpaca fiber is warmer than wool, lightweight and hypoallergenic - what better fiber to use for winter wear and gifts!? We have adult and children's wear, from socks, hats, mittens, and glittens, to shawls, scarves and sweaters. We also have some home décor items. For those who want to create their own gifts, we have batts, rovings, yarn and rug yarn available. We will also have some edible treats created by Aime's Love, a new gluten-free pastry business in Longmont. Looking forward to seeing you.

Welcome to Edelweiss Alpacas website! We are thrilled to have you visit and become acquainted with the beautiful and charming alpacas that have become our life and our joy.
Edelweiss Alpacas, LLC began in 2009 with the purchase of one pregnant female. By the end of the year, we had one healthy female cria, and had also acquired 5 other alpacas, 2 males and 3 females. We've been learning and growing ever since and have a herd of 22. We exist to breed exceptional quality alpacas for the alpaca industry, and outstanding fleece for the fashion and textile industry. We also sell annually harvested fleeces or processed fleece products such as rovings, battings, rug yarn, and skeins of yarn to the public. Our farm store carries a variety of handmade and commercially-made alpaca finished products as well, such as sweaters, scarves, caps, rugs, hats, and woven goods. We provide agisting (boarding) services to other alpaca owners and we provide educational opportunities about owning, raising and caring for alpacas. Various fiber artists come to teach the fiber arts in which they specialize.
In 2013, we're starting to work with kids and alpacas through 4-H clubs. We will teach youth about alpaca care, their fleece, and the business aspects of raising alpacas. Youth don't have to own their own alpaca, they can "rent an alpaca" for a nominal fee from our farm and we will teach at our farm. Contact us if you are interested in alpaca 4-H projects or check out the 4-H website at http://www.colorado4h.org/.
We are close to I-25 and all the Front Range communities of northern Colorado, making it convenient for you to visit our farm and store or agist (board) your animals with us. We are eager to meet you and share our love of the amazing and charming alpacas.
We have one Livestock Guard Dog named Cassidy. He is protective of his herd, yet quite friendly with kids and adults to whom we introduce him. We have also acquired a Guard Llama, Piper, and she is a great addition to our Ranch.
