Welcome to the New Mystic Springs Ranch We are a family run suri farm located in Northwest Wisconsin that has combined Mystic Springs Ranch (Vicki Trimberger) with Plesant View Acres (Steve Wurzer). With over 15 years in the alpaca industry we feel privledged to be a part of the many changes that have made this industry what it is today. We are not a "nitche" market farm...in other words we don't have just one color or alpacas from only one specific part of the world. What we do have is diversified genetics, high quality, fairly priced, healthy alpacas.
I started raising alpacas after spending years with horses. At the time I found alpacsa I was working as a recruiter for Marriott Hotels. Within a few short years I had built our suri alpaca business to the point that I could leave Marriott and work with my true love...alpacas! With the help of two other close friends we started our own alpaca show..Spring Fling...after running the show for 10 years, we passed the torch on but the show is still running today as "Spring Bling"
I have also had the luxury of working for my father (who is a veterinarian) and at a local clinic as a vet tech. Those opportunities have allowed me to gain skills that help us offer some of the finest health care for our alpacas
When we pair our breeding females with one of our 25 herdsires we look for the male that will offer the best match to create the highest luster, most density, and best conformation. While we love color, we also value high quality white fiber as well. With our recent purchase of Stone Brook Suri Farm's foundation females and their 4 core herdsires (Condor's Warrior, USA Semejanzo, Bruxo's Legoastone, and the 2010 Dark Reserve Herdsire of the Year-Meadowgates Peruvian Saber) we feel we have the nuber and quality of females that will allow us to create the next generation of suris.
Add to that our purchase of several other key studs:
SBS CROWNE PRINCE- one of the highest luster white males i have ever seen. Prince is probably THE premeir son of the now deceased Crowne Royale. We have recently identified Prince's ability to reproduce his high luster IN DARK COLOR- watch for his true black son....Fresh Prince. Judge for yourself.
WLK SILVER THREADS- this silver grey proven herdsire has an amazing ability to produce grey (so far) 100% of the time when bred to grey and grey or black 75% of the time when bred to any other color.
We are looking to create some of the most lusterous blacks and greys out there, but we aren't forgetting about whites, fawns and browns.
Plus did we mention our fasination with what we call our "FUN" colors! The appys!
We welcome farm tours by appointment and offer after sales support.
