Stone Meadow Alpacas got it’s start in the alpaca industry in December of 2005. Our herd consists entirely of huacaya alpacas and we welcomed the arrival of our very first crias in the spring of 2007. Our farm is located in South Central Pennsylvania not far from Gettysburg and the Nation’s Capital. We welcome all visitors to come see our new arrivals. They are truly spectacular animals and are the first step in realizing our goals to help rediscover and refine the beautiful and natural colors that exist within the alpaca.
Alpacas are environmentally friendly and the multitude of natural colors that exist within alpacas provides great potential to develop a consistent and sustainable eco-textile industry of purely soft and luxurious clothing, home furnishings, and other alpaca products.
We also look forward to pursuing the opportunities that exist to reclaim the truly royal genetics of an ancient alpaca past and to carve an even greater path into the future of these wonderful animals.
