Some of the Alpaca Shack family

Alpaca Shack is a small farm atop Irish Hill in Berne, New York. We have been raising alpacas since 2005. We started with two breeding females: Patagonia's Alameda has produced three females: a fawn, a gray, and a bay black and Danko's Irish Rose has added a bay black female and a fawn male. We have bred our females to Silver Thunder, Spa's Pay the Piper, Spa Alpacas Vuarnet, PRA Ventura, and Peruvian Lancaster. This year we have added an online alpaca store which will be ready in time for the holidays. As a family run farm: Bob and Pam have had to reinvent themselves and are thrilled to see how well their 35 year old autistic son has adapted to this wonderful lifestyle. The theraputic advantages of alpacas have added a whole new dimension to meaningful activities for John. The entire enterprise is managed by Matt, John's older brother. We have alpacas for sale as well as clean fiber, spun yarn, and clothing. Visits may be scheduled through the website. Come experience the alpacas's mystic in this glorious mountain setting!
