Park View All American Alpacas, owned and operated by David, Nancy, and Nick TenHulzen, is located on a hill just outside Portland, Oregon. Over the past 19 years, Park View has established one of the most successful alpaca breeding programs in North America. Park View’s focus on consistency and quality of both fleece and conformation, showcased by their National Champion males and females, has been consistently and profoundly validated by their success in show rings across the country.
Park View raises both Huacaya and Suri alpacas, and has achieved tremendous success with both breeds. Park View has always considered the female as equally important in the breeding equation. From the start, their slogan has been "Buying and Breeding the Best, to Criate the Future Generations." It is this approach that has allowed them to advance so rapidly in regard to the quality and reproductive soundness of their alpacas. They now have more than Forty Nine 3rd Generation Color Champions and Twenty Seven 4th Generation Color Champions, with more than 80 first place, award-winning females in their breeding program. In fact, Park View offered their 1st ever 5th Generation Color Champion, Tahitian Black Pearl, in the 2012 Prestige Auction
Color Champions out of Grand Champions, domestic-born, documented, multi-generational Champion pedigrees to create the best “All American Alpacas." This is the ticket to the predictability and the success of the Park View breeding program! Indeed, we now have 3rd Generation AOBA National Champions, 3rd Generation Supreme Champions (Best of Show), 3rd Generation IAO Best Head and 4th Generation Color Champions! We have, perhaps, produced more alpacas that have won Color, Grand and Supreme Championships at major shows than any other breeder in North America. We are extremely proud of the fact that animals we have sold and animals produced by our breeding program have been highly successful for our customers. Sharing our success is so important to us!
What you don't see in the show ring is our steadfast and profound emphasis on health, reproducibility, and consistency of IgG, milk production, and the consistent quality of each and every offspring produced at our ranch. The fact is that we can emphasize all of these issues and still continue to dominate in the show ring is not an accident, but rather the results of a commitment to these animals and to the future of the North American Alpaca Industry. Only sound breeding practices can Create 3th, 4th and, 5th Generation Color Champions.
