Times, they are a changing - It is about the fiber, genetics and breeding to the best, but there is so much more to it!!In 2017 Melody Lane Farm hosted more farm visits from groups and individuals than ever before. From small children to older adults. We teach and educate anyone who comes to our door. Our teachings don't compare to what the animals do for guests. We have hosted PTA, Mom Groups, Alzheimer Folks, Deaf Community and Autistic Individuals. No one does it better than our own animals. We are now full time caretakers to our parents. We prefer folks to know us by viewing our pages and visiting our farm up close and personal. We believe in the quality aspect of the alpaca fiber. Spinoff competitions, classes for educating the public on alpacas and keeping our name out there for your review are a huge element of Melody Lane. Our animals are some of the best kept secrets and need to be working and producing some of the best cria for your fiber production. If you are looking for that special alpaca that will represent your business, is priced just right, and will remind visitors who come to your farm of their wonderful experience, then don't pass up this opportunity to view our pages. Our last alpaca show was presented in 2016 at the Buckeye Halter show in Columbus Ohio. We proudly walked 3 older females each in their own category into the show ring. Adagio, Maraca and Tambora. The oldest being over 9 years old. Each girl was presented with a Blue Ribbon and judges were amazed at fiber and presentation of these females. We must continue to show fine quality of fleece in anyway that is applicable in this industry. Very few farms will show alpacas over the age of 2. There are many superb fleeces and animals in this industry that need to be seen and complimented for what they offer. We are not afraid to do that with our herd.We offer 10 gorgeous females and 6 outstanding males, genetics rivaling the best in the industry and also producing some of the best fiber in the industry.
We will consider all available terms and conditions to assist our clients in the best possible manner. Our goal is to help you get started in the alpaca industry with mentoring and teaching you the basics of this wonderful world of fiber.
Ms Piccolo has maintained her dense tight crimp as she approaches her prime. A fantastic mom, birther and personality to boot. Mandolin is a Stratosphere daughter whose fleece is dense and crimpy, it is hard to dig your fingers into her fiber. She and Melody Lane Crescendo have produced a female offspring named Bell who has the folds down the neck and body, tight crimp and very dense. A formula worth repeating.
