Country Dream Alpacas was established with the purchase of our first alpacas in 2007. We started looking in 2005 and it took us two years to decide that investing in alpacas made sense for us. And we have not looked back!
We are alpaca seed stock producers, focusing on breeding quality, healthy animals and providing good, knowledgeable customer service for beginner and experienced alpaca owners.
Our alpaca breeding plan centers on four key elements:
> Good confirmation and body structure - provides for healthy, long-lived animals.
> Fine fiber with consistency in fiber micron size (CV and SD) – softer feeling, better quality fiber.
> Consistent fiber crimp – hand spinners desire more fiber crimp because it gives the finished product more density with less amount of fiber.
> Continually improving on all of these traits.
Currently, our main breeding focus is on huacaya alpacas with grey and black genetics.
