We had one of our herdsires come in with major limp and not putting much weigh on his right back leg. It doesn't have any bite marks, wounds, cutes, swelling etc. Toenails look okay. No local inflammation. How would you fix a dislocated stifle joint?
He's eating and not particularly stressed. Please advise.

I think your best bet would be to talk with your vet. I would think that any vet with expirence with large animals would be able to help. You can give hime some thiamine and/or banamine is he gets worse. Again, talk with your vet!

I'm no expert, but I had this happen to one of our herdsires and he had a luxating patella. His knee cap had actually shifted. I gently moved the kneecap back in to place and he was just fine. It can happen for no apparent reason or if they are wrestling like boys do. It may pop back just as easily and quickly as it popped off. Your vet could check for this very easily. I actually have the same problem and it's very painful.
