the grandmother of one of our males and the great grandmother of our female is the same alpaca. If we breed them is that considered inbreeding? Is it a bad idea to breed them? Are there any general rules about how far removed in common ancestry before breeding is ok?

Mike safely has some excellent articles on this subject, he says at least two generations, and it would be called linebreeding.
