Hi, everything has been completely normal with a surprise cria we welcomed about 3 weeks ago. We took over care taking in the middle of the alpaca's gestational period and the previous care taker had no idea if any were pregnant. I was led to believe and still do believe that pack leader Pepsi is Mary's (cria) mom. I have seen, and heard her draw milk from Pepsi's teats. Another female always made a "clicking" noise and seemed pretty careful about Mary and today, without a doubt I saw and heard her draw milk from Big Red (other female) today. Neither my boyfriend or I saw the birth. But cria has been with Pepsi everyday and still was at feeding today, Pepsi was just feeding so she went and got milk from another.. Does this mean Big Red is expecting and close to delivery? Thanks!
