Small Farm Values...
Autumn Sun Alpacas of Colorado is a
small alpaca farm that breeds and sells quality huacaya and suri alpacas
for your fiber and show needs. We support your new farm education and
will answer all your questions. We tailor packages of alpacas, fiber,
breedings, financing, and our marketing help for the perfect custom
package for you! We handle and understand our alpaca fiber, its
interaction with other wools for yarn and end-product production, so we
know 'what are alpacas raised for?'. We sell our own fiber as well as
blends of alpaca with wool, silk, bamboo, soy... Alpaca fiber really
compliments other wool, for beautiful combinations that accentuate the
alpaca fiber! We also offer for sale alpaca fleece products and apparel.
More Than Just a Pretty Face...
At Autumn Sun Alpacas, we enjoy raising quality huacaya and suri alpacas of all colors for show and fiber. We breed and sell quality huacaya and suri alpacas of robust genetics - including top Peruvian, Bolivian, and Chilean bloodlines. We
believe in the exceptional value of alpaca fiber: dyeing and spinning
our yarn, creating artisan pieces from their fiber, and carrying
authentic alpaca fiber goods for our customers. We are active in the
spinning / fiber community, as well as the show circuit -- so, we have a
foot in both worlds!
Our Start...
Autumn
Sun Alpacas was 'born' over a decade ago, when we saw alpacas at an
event. We were captivated by them and loved the idea of an alpaca
farm. Several years later, we bought our first alpacas after intensive
research. A couple of show-worthy junior herdsires and a few breeding
dams with crias at their side was all it took.
Our Fulfillment...
We
have had the pleasure of securing show ribbons, the joy of witnessing
the birth of crias (babies) and enjoying our alpacas company, and the
exploration of alpaca fiber spinning and production into lovely handmade
crafts. Supported and inspired by our self shorn & lusciously soft
alpaca fiber, we provide tailored crafts and spinning tools in our shop

our customers and collaborate in social networks, as well as offer a
newsletter and information through our blog and online store.
We
promote our well cared for and remarkable alpacas on our sales list for
