April 28-29, 2013 - PNAA Showcase - An AOBA Level IV Alpaca Show; come visit us at TRAC all weekend; visitors welcome from 8am to 4pm on Saturday and from 8am to 2pm on Sunday. Watch the alpacas in all their glorious fleece compete for those coveted ribbons! Come celebrate the fiber arts with us; we will showcase all types of alpaca fleeces and products.
Daily Tours - Sandollar Alpacas Farm is open to the public by appointment. To schedule your visit, call the office at 509-582-SAND; or Collins directly at 509-378-5833, or Nikki on her cell at 509-378-6909 today (closed Mondays)! At least four hours notice is appreciated! Tours take anywhere from 30 minutes for individuals and 60-90 minutes for groups, depending on the structure requested by the group at the time the reservation is made. Topics covered can include information about alpaca history, the industry today, why we raise them, fleece and conformation characteristics, etc.
"The Felted Alpaca" - an Alpaca Boutique - Now Open! Come shop our onsite (or online) country mercantile, where you will find the softest in luxury alpaca yarns, felts and roving, as well as luxury alpaca retail and custom hand tooled leather gifts and accessories from our newly re-stocked store. Wednesdays through Saturdays; 1-4PM. Products from our 2012 fleeces have arrived! Come check them out!
Coming in 2013 - SEMINAR - Alpacas for Fun and Profit - Part 1 and Part 2 - This is a full day seminar offered in two half-day increments in conjunction with the Kennewick Community Education department which introduces the alpaca and the alpaca livestock industry today. The first session focuses on the alpaca history, its fleece and conformation characteristics and the various business and recreational opportunities associated with owning alpacas. Part 2 focuses on basic husbandry for the alpaca, as well as handling and training of alpacas. Come learn all about this dynamite livestock opportunity, whether you just want to own pet alpacas, or you are seriously considering entering the business. Find out what it's like! Reservations are needed and space is limited; please call the office at 509-382-SAND; or call Collins directly at 509-378-5833 for a reservation! The gates open at 8:30am for hospitality and begins promptly at 9am.

Directions: Sandollar Alpacas is located in southeast Kennewick, WA. From US 395, drive east on 27th Avenue approximately three miles to the stop sign at Oak Street. Take a right and travel about 20 blocks (one mile) past the Bowles Road turnoff, up the hill to 47th Ave; turn right and Sandollar Alpacas will be on the left.
