Farm Tours - Open Barn Days

• Self Guided Tours -  The farm is open to visitors for self-guided tours during our regular store hours!  Come learn about alpacas!  Just be sure to check in to the office or store before beginning your tour to comply with our insurance regulations.
• Escorted Farm Tours for Families or Groups -- Take a tour into the barn, the pastures and through the farm and see these adorable creatures up close; you can perhaps take a selfie and might get a paca kiss.  Topics covered include a bit of history, information about the industry, why we raise these glorious creatures, etc. To purchase tickets for your private farm tour online you can click the appropriate links on the home page!  Tours are offered (weather permitting) on Wednesday and Saturday mornings at 9:30am.  If the weather is fine at other times throughout the year, just give us a call!
• Private Events - Would you like to book a private event for your group, perhaps a birthday party, graduation, reunion, etc?  Just call us and talk to us about what you have in mind, and we will work with you to accommodate your group!

Sandollar Gift Shop, The Fuzzy Wuzzy - A Fiber Studio / Leather Arts Studio and Boutique

Visitors to the farm are welcome to browse our onsite fiber and leather arts studio where we make many different things from our award winning fleeces!.   

2024 COMING ATTRACTIONS

Alpacas 101 Workshop -Coming in November 2024; call Nikki for more information at 509.378.6909!

This is a full day workshop offered several times each year which introduces the alpaca and the alpaca livestock industry today to those who do not already own alpacas as well as those who do!

• SESSION #1 in the morning introduces the alpaca, its history, fleece and conformation characteristics, the industry, and why you might be interested in this industry as a hobby or business; AND
•  
• SESSION #2 in the afternoon workshop focuses on basic husbandry for the alpaca, as well as handling and training of alpacas.  Lots of hands on time!

Come learn all about this livestock opportunity, whether you want to own pet, fiber or pasture ornament alpacas, or seedstock alpacas because you are seriously considering entering the industry as a business opportunity.  Find out what it's like!

Sandollar Farms hosted its 4th National Fleece Show this year!  Amanda VandenBosch, the premier AOA Senior Judge was here for the 4th time judging the IFA fleece show this fall; it has become a regular event!
