After boarding our alpacas for the first year we knew it was time to find our own farm. This is when we moved to Blairsville, GA with our 4 alpacas and our first guard dog, Maggie. With in two years we had grown and knew Maggie could use some help so we found our second guard dog Annie. The two of them worked as a team and we trusted them to watch over our herd. At the age of six our Maggie had bone cancer and we had to put her down leaving Annie to take care of 28 alpacas. So once again the hunt was on and we found two sister, Lady and Tippy and they joined our family. Today one year later we feel so lucky to have our three guard dogs, all part Great Pyrenees watching over our herd. It is just wonderful to know that they take their job serious. So far we have never had anything even come close to the fence line to threaten our herd.
