A few years ago we thought we would try and take our male alpaca, Zac, who is so easy going to our nursing home in Blairsville, GA and see how he did. He was a hit and has been going there every month since. Last month we decided to see if his daughter, Candi, had it in her to be our next therapeutic alpaca.
She was fantastic and every one wanted her back this month so off she went again. Candi gives more kisses and she will let any patient hold on to her and talk with her. We tried to take another alpaca but he said no as soon as he got to the door. Both Zac and Candi stand out with their colors and so we will stay with Candi now until she is bred after 2012 shearing. Zac has sold so it is time to see if his boy, Brody can fill his shoes too. We love this part of our job.
