Product Description
Rhett Butler grew this lovely natural silver grey fiber for you to spin into yarn in order to create lovely sweaters, scarfs and more.
I helped him out by taking his soft, lovely fiber and giving it an initial bath to remove most of the dust and dirt as he loves to roll in his dust bowl.
Then I went through it all by hand, opening it up, removing those bits of straw and hay and any short or coarse hairs. I wouldn't want to spin them and I know that you wouldn't either.
A second bath to get rid of any dirt that was caught in the fiber tips and a lovely drying in the fresh country air and the fiber was ready for me to package and send for processing into roving.
Rhett's fiber will spin into a wonderfully soft, warm yarn suitable for all members of your family. It is a wonderful natural soft grey that will overdye beautifully.
If you wish to blend it with other fibers, you can produce wonderful silk/alpaca, wool/alpaca, angora/alpaca or any other blend that you wish to try.
If you want handspun yarn and do not spin, I can spin the fiber for you. Please contact me if you are interested in having it spun or if you need larger quantities.
