Description
1st place winning Pulitzer's Princess Pixie is the granddaughter of both Caligula G4572 and Hemingway G171, quite possibly the two very best herdsires to have ever been imported from Peru.
In 2005 a stud named S. Invincible sold at auction for a then record $585,000. I looked into his lineage to see what made him so special and found that his dam, S. Maree Love was a daughter of the great Heminigway and a full Accoyo daughter of the only other stud in that league, the exceptional Caligula. So I set out to make my own “Maree Love”. At that time Caligula was already retired and Hemingway, although still occasionally settling, was closed to outside breedings so I would have to use their offspring.
In 2006, I traveled all the way to NorthWest Alpacas in Hillsboro, Oregon to purchase a daughter of the famous Hemingway G171, one of the top two best studs to have ever been imported from Peru. Later that year I took my Hemingway daughter all the way to Magical Farms outside of Cleveland, Ohio to breed her to My Accoyo Pulitzer, one of the best full Accoyo sons from the other of the top two best studs to have ever been imported from Peru, the renowned Caligula G4572. In 2007, Pixie arrived as the result of these efforts.
Born on a snowy evening in November, Pixie lost her eartips to frostbite her very first night. We thought this sort of made her look like a Pixie so it was easy to come up with a name for her.

Pixie's dam had her last cria at age 14 and nursed into her 15th year. With a DOB of 11/21/07, as her breeding manager I would conservatively count on a minimum of 3 more births out of Pixie before she retires. (Due to some non-Alpaca circumstances, Pixie was not bred in 2017, so she is coming off a breeding break and her health and body conditioning are excellent.)
Pixie sells with an included breeding to Charlie's Rockstar.
Due to all of Pixie’s outstanding qualities, superior genetics and that she's a 1st place winner and 3x proven mom, I’d like to get $4000 for her at this age. For a sale closing in May 2019, I would discount Pixie's price by $2,500 to a $1,500 cash sale. Free delivery within 100 miles of Elizabeth, Colorado, $1.50 per loaded mile thereafter.
