Breed by the numbers -- SHIP classified, biopsy results, show history, and histogram, it's all there!!
Breeding for luster, fineness and density, we are excited to announce that we have again partnered with Uber Alpacas to bring the 2017 winner of the Futurity Suri Light Fawn Male class to Sandollar Alpacas in 2018 to join Kahuna's WAPU on our Stud Row and begin his breeding career! Now is the time for the new small breeder of exceptional suri alpacas to upgrade their breeding program to a suri male in the top 5% in the country.
In addition to his 2017 Futurity blue, he earned the 2017 AOA banner and Judge's Choice award at the National Fleece Show besting 97 entries... he earned a total of six blues during his show career!
Dr. Norm Evans reports that his biopsy results in ALL categories put him in the top 2-3% of males whose biopsies he has analyzed. His 2017 biopsy results are incredible:
68.75 follicles SQ/MM - 54.76 average
14.5 to 1 for S/P Ratio - 10.21 average
10.8 micron variation between secondaries and primaries, 11.09 average
20% secondary fiber medullation, 21.9% average
4 out of 4 gland presence.
20.04 micron AFD, 21.9 average
His glandular infrastructure accounts for his high level of luster and his low medullation is associated with excellent handle. This is a highly heritable trait.
In 2017, Quebracho was evaluated by Cheryl Gehly of the Suri Network Suri Herd Improvement Program (SHIP) and received top scores (1-5 with 5 being the highest score possible). He scored 5s on all conformation traits and 4's and 5's on his fleece traits with an overall score of 4.625!
Quebracho comes from the highest quality champion genetics. His multi-champion stud female line includes the best: Arizona Sage, Accoyo Starcrossed, Eleuteria and Accoyo Harmony. His sire, SBS Stardust, is a multi champion, with all star genetics behind him as well. Lingering fineness is a hallmark of his genetic pool coming from his dam side.
Look at the color genetics behind this male. He should throw amazing color in his crias when bred to color, along with his lingering fineness, luster and density.
Quebracho is a strong, well balanced true to type male. His fleece shimmers with luster on the inside and outside and his highly aligned, dense, fine locks are absolutely stunning. No wonder when you see his biopsy and histogram results.
Quebracho's quantitative data supports his position as a top ranking herdsire in the country. Let the data speak for itself. He is the total package in all fleece and conformation traits, and is ready to take your breeding program to a higher level.
