That's right, $1,600..... For the price of a single breeding, you can have this boy to use. We just don't breed for white any longer and this beautiful full Accoyo boy does mainly that. We will retain some breedings just in case we need to change our mind, but he appears to have a few years left in him and needs to get a little work before this bloodline is lost!!

Yes, he's AWESOME and it is no wonder! Restoration is the full accoyo son of 6Peruvian Accoyo Rosa 6385 (one of Magical's best...

Late one very cold October day in 2011, I was at the barn and received a call from our vet about the results of our pregnancy tests from the week before. The news was very bad for our top black female, LMFI Preuvain Black Opal, she was open!! Yikes!! There was no way that I was going to leave her open over the winter, but the breeding was to an outside male, so that was not an option. We had just acquired an incredible new full Accoyo boy the year before that had let color pass (brown even!) so with quick thinking, I thought I would try an experiment. It worked - kind of....
When Lori was first informed of the breeding, it did not go well. But, after some discussion and a Tequila Rose on crushed ice, she agreed to the wait and see approach. Breeding our top True Black female to our white full Accoyo boy - that qualifies as an "Experiment".
Restoration had just produced a brown cria from a brown female that year and the fleece was REALLY nice and I figured the fleece styles would cross well much like a Hemingway/Accoyo cross. I got the fleece part right, but the color - not so much. Obviously, Black Opal's "white spot" popped out.
But the story ends well; with a beautiful fleece, multiple ribbons in big tough white classes, and a male that needs to be put to work.
Don't fear the color combo. It should be predictable, with almost no chance of color when bred to white, and yet a fair 50/50 when bred to set colors. Either way, we feel the fleece quality is well established.
