FRE Coletrane

Huacaya, Herdsire (Male), Proven, True Black, 1/2 Peruvian, 1/2 Chilean
ARI# 32227208 | DOB: 4/12/2012
Overlooked his first year, we did a double-take when Coletrane's second fleece came in! This Nova grandson is black as black can be with the character of fleece that both his parents exhibit. His conformation is very correct and he stands tall and proud in the pasture. He boasts an outstanding pedigree, combining lines of Bueno, Drambuie, Shackleton, Matador through Black Mesquite, and Guellermo! Coletrane has now started his breeding career, first cria due this summer! We'll report back on ...

Slipper's Angelina

Huacaya, Female, Proven, White, Medium Brown, 1/4 Peruvian, 3/4 Chilean
ARI# 848524 | DOB: 10/18/2003

Angie sells with a breeding to any of our herdsires. She's a...

Description

White marks are only about face, no contamination in the fleece. Very heavy black and grey background. Fleece is coming in fine and crimpy. And oh, what an adorable face! He's been a smaller male, but we've started to see a growth spurt. He's actually now even a little taller than some of his older juvie pen mates.

He does have truly gorgeous fleece. Our sentiments were echoed by judges Amanda Vandenbosch and Helen Testa who both praised his lovely handle and consistent, fine, crimpy, well organized fleece. There simply wasn't enough of him to place any higher. We look forward to showing him more as a yearling.
