    Hidden Hill's The Rifleman

Suri, Male, Unproven | Dark Silver Grey

    Sire:
    Toni's Peruvian Winchester Steel
        |
Medium Rose Grey, 839232, Full Peruvian We cannot find a superlative that can begin to describe how we feel about Winchester Steel! When in three breedings in a single year, he produces ONLY gray offspring, solid at that, what exactly is there left to say? Winchester is a son of the venerable Gunsmoke, himself a 4P Condor son, so he does not come by his gray coloring by mere happenstance. His conformation, coverage and density are without parallel -- and he has re-locked perfectly, having been shorn as a yearling. Not only is Winchester a Gunsmoke son, but he carries three generations of fancies on his dam's side, so he is capable of both rare color and pattern! Read on, because the proof is in the pudding -- and Winnie has been cooking! Our fall 2006 dynamic duo of males from my favorite light fawn mother/daughter team are wonderful examples of solid dark silver gray and solid light rose gray -- they carry wonderful independence of lock, extreme luster and excellent coverage, an

    Dam:
    Victoriana's Aviva
        |
Light Fawn, 836772, Full Peruvian If you are seeking a CORNERSTONE SURI FEMALE, YOUR SEARCH IS OVER! Aviva is simply a beautiful, full Peruvian suri alpaca with top show-ring credentials and proven ability to produce show-quality colored offspring. As a juvenile, she took the Light Suri Female Color Champion honors at North American Alpaca Show in 2003. Aviva has dark toenails and dark pigmentation around her eyes and muzzle -- I am sure it helps a bit, too, that her grandsire was dark rose gray 4P Magnifico (now deceased). We own her dam, Tori, and we like the idea that we have this dynamic duo mother/daughter team of great foundation females! Aviva is now a foundation female for us, and we will be happy to hang onto her but can at this time entertain offers. Her first cria, sired by the well-known NGG Caezar, is Topkapi, who is now owned by Patti and Alan Anderson of Wild Rose Suris. Bred to our Reserve Champion solid rose gray Gunsmoke son, Winchester Steel, Aviva produced a phenomenal appaloosa female

    Description

Aviva proved, without a shadow of a doubt, that she can produce solid gray offspring when bred to solid gray -- The Rifleman is her second solid gray cria! The Rifleman's full sister is our Western Sunrise, who is also featured on our sales list. The Rifleman will sell at his dam's side. Here is an opportunity to acquire not merely a nice, proven foundation female, but a cornerstone female around which one could build an entire suri breeding program! Bred to lights, Aviva has produced a light fawn female, Caezar's Topkapi, who is her mirror image. Bred to solid gray, we first had Western Sunrise (solid LSG), then The Rifleman (solid DSG). With Rifey at side, you also get a real shot in the arm for your fall show-string, no question about it. He has been lustrous and locked to the hilt from day one. His dark gray face, dark silver gray blanket, wonderful conformational qualities all point to a boy that will make his mark in the show-ring. You will be hard-pressed to sell him, because we think he has the goods to be an excellent solid gray suri herdsire. We are awaiting receipt of his ARI, and are so convinced as to the quality of this young male, we are entering him to show in Louisville at the 2007 AOBA National Show. We only feel we can sell this dynamic duo because we have decided to keep The Rifleman's dam's sister, HHF Mahogony's Princess Ticklefeather (sired by PVA Mahogony Prince) and we own Aviva's dam, Victoriana, as well. Victoriana produced a solid rose gray male by the name of True Aim of the very same high quality as The Rifleman, and we are vowing to keep True as future gray genetics for our herd. We bred Aviva at peak receptivity to our award-winning Adonis of PVA, a lookalike son of the great Kobe of PVA whose dam is a true black daughter of 4P Meteor on March 23rd. Given Aviva's predilection toward throwing the color of the sire, this offspring will be worth the wait!

    Financing Terms

We like to tailor financing to meet the needs of our clients, so we do not have set terms. Everyone has a different set of parameters, just as they do different goals, so a 'one size fits all' approach just makes no sense when talking financing terms.
