Dancing Elk's Glory B

Huacaya, Female, Unproven, White, True Black
ARI# 32126372 | DOB: 7/2/2012
Nice genetic lineage.
Correct, straight confirmation.
TB fiber with long staple length, crimp, soft handle and brightness.
Glory tipped out a brown color as a juvie but now the grey from her genetics is appearing. There is no doubt that this lends itself to her 2 modern rose grey offspring.

A pleasure to work with and easy going personality.

Unabashedly I fell in love with this guy on a casual stroll through the show grounds in Denver, CO. When I was asked if I wanted a closer look, I thought why not, just looking. Then of course couldn't stop thinking about him. His fawn sire at almost 3 years of age 17.6 micron with 4.2 SD and extremely bright & crimpy. (I wanted to post pictures of both of their fleece shots but couldn't choose a picture to delete of Romeo himself! Needless to say, I pressed the "buy" button.

Just a few days later at that GWAS show, he received his 1st blue ribbon. The plan was to shear at the show, but I thought it wouldn't be fair to the hubby to not see him in his full glorious fleece. So he came home to wow us all and we sheared shortly afterward. We gave essentially his cria fleece to an extremely talented hand spinner who processed it with hardly any waste. It turned out beautiful!

Romeo's nice conformation was evident at early age. Multiple people, besides his breeder also commented on his truly sweet disposition. Even the judge at the last show commented what a well-behaved young man he is. Large fluffy frame and he is still a huggable sort. Most days you find him laying right in or next to his feed relaxing & just growing his fleece lol. We were fortunate enough to have a talented hand spinner make yarn from him and it is quite lovely.

From a black dam & fawn sire came his modern grey. His dam does have a dark silver grey and medium silver grey in Aussie Rockford so he should really compliment some of our grey females. While we would be happy if he basically only passed his disposition on, we can't wait to see if his conformation, density, gorgeous head and ears will give us what we are hoping for.

Our first Romeo cria was born at almost 20 pounds straight and strong. Fawn with darker brown nose in color. One that may change in time to come. She is super cute multiple inquiries on her purchase because she is adorable and sweet! He has a confirmed pregnancy to our dark silver grey that we are pretty excited for next summer.
