Landmark Farm's Puddle Jumper

Huacaya, Herdsire (Male), Proven, Medium Brown, Full Peruvian
ARI# 32319668 | DOB: 10/4/2011
Pud is a lovely boy sired by the late TRULY GREAT black herdsire, Black Mesquite. Mesquite was co-owned by Magical Farms and Flying Pony Alpacas. Breedings to Mesquite were restricted and he commanded a stud fee of $7500!

Puddle Jumper's dam was a daughter of My Peruvian Osbydian and granddaughter of Mr. President. She was certainly an attention grabber with the WOW factor because of her rare fawn and brown patterned fleece! Her fleece retained its fineness, still Grade 2 Baby Alpaca, at nin...

Bueno Line

Landmark Farm's Seraphina

Huacaya, Female, Proven, Bay Black, 1/2 Peruvian, 1/2 Chilean
ARI# 32730050 | DOB: 10/20/2013
Seraphina is one big beautiful girl! She has the most exquisite carriage and is simply elegant when she moves!

Seraphina's maternal line hails from extremely hardy Chilean stock that produces big crias, with very high IgG's, that grow big fast. She did not lose a single ounce on the day after her birth. Instead, she gained four pounds in her first five days! She was weaned at 5 1/2 months at 78 pounds!

Seraphina's sire, My Peruvian Equador, has put an upgraded fleece on her. At bir...

Landmark Farm's Watchman is the third cria out of our Black Mesquite son, Landmark Farm's Puddle Jumper! Like father like son! Watchman could be a clone of his sire!

He has gained weight ahead of the curve on his dam's abundant and rich milk, almost a pound a day! He is strong, with correct conformation and perfectly straight legs.

He was sheared at two weeks of age, but it was already apparent that his fleece was already organizing into beautiful crimp with lovely brightness. All crias are of course very soft, but Watchman's handle feels just like his sire's did when he was the same age.

Watchman's disposition is most like his dam's, Seraphina. She has always been one of our more shy alpacas, but is a dream to handle for herd health. Just like his dam, Watchman intently observes everything, from a safe distance! Even so, he is approachable and very gentle and cooperative having his legs and head handled.

We have always loved his sire's BRILLIANT flaming orange-red chestnut color, and so do our visitors. With his dark points, he has a beautiful two-toned face that reminds us of a cuddly ewok! We are thrilled to have a second alpaca of this same color, since the yarn is very popular in our shop.

Stay tuned for more photos of Watchman as he grows!
