Accoyo America North Star represents a fusion of the genetic lines that have combined to create the elite-fleeced animals for which Accoyo America is known today. His sire is the incomparable Pacific Crest Accoyo El Nino, a highly prepotent male known for his ability to grace his crias with the same extraordinary consistent, bright and dense fleece that he carried. North Star is one of five El Nino sons currently on Accoyo America's stud row, a list that also includes Accoyo America Polaris, Accoyo America Ulysses, and Accoyo America Mahatma.
North Star's dam is the equally impressive multiple champion female Sequoia, who like her famous full brother Accoyo America Nautilus is a product of a cross between Hemingway and Sicuani, a top-rated import dam that had a production record unparalleled within the Accoyo America herd. Sequoia has an impressive production record as well, including in addition to North Star the rising young herdsire Accoyo America Tronador, one of our best production dams, Accoyo America Sahalie, and one of our most promising crias from 2012, the 13 micron white male Cherokee Warrior.
North Star's exposure has been limited only by his close relationship with nearly every dam in the Accoyo America herd. Where he has been used, his offspring have always impressed. He has produced champions in white and in color, and his crias have carried his elite fleece style that combines a moderately fine crimp style and long staple length with independent bundling and a high degree of uniformity. North Star's conformation is excellent--he is an athletic, powerful male with great presence. This is an impact male.
