Description

Constantinople, aka "Opie", is a dream.

He is easy to handle, a quality that runs in the sons of Don Diego de Peru, and Opie seems to have passed this on to his progeny as well. He has very solid, substantial bone structure, and is passing this along to his offspring. His fiber is perfectly straight - no curl at all in it. His dam, at 14 years of age, delivered a cria in October, 2016. She is as strong and healthy as ever, needing no help with the delivery or mothering of this baby.

I am anxious to get more crias on the ground from him, so let me know if you are interested in these genetics. I will discount 2nd and 3rd breedings by 50% if they are purchased at the same time as the first breeding.

Opie has sired 3 offspring, 2 female and 1 male. The 2 girls are on this website and are New Age Amarillo Rose, and New Age Farrah Rose. Both are currently in my foundation herd. They inherited their father's good looks and superb disposition. The boy, sadly, was injured at a young age and has crossed the rainbow bridge.

At 10 years of age, Opie is retaining the features that made him such an exceptional youngster. His fiber is as lustrous as it was at 1 year of age. An easy breeder, he gets the job done with one try. He is strong and has NEVER had a health issue. A true easy keeper. Fiber samples and additional photos are available on request.

I cannot use his genetics anymore as he is related to ALL the girls in my herd, and I would consider trading him for a male of similar quality but of a totally different genepool.

Financing Terms

Breeding fee of $500 will be discounted by 50% to $250 for 2nd and 3rd breedings, if they are purchased at the same time as the first breeding.
