Twyla's Fleece has beaten the Futurity Fawn Color Champion!

Twyla's Fleece has won purple out of 38 entries, and Best Brightness out of 185 huacaya fleeces shown! *********************

Twyla's awards include:

and Best Brightness too! The judge commented she had "dazzling brightness".

Then a Blue Ribbon in a class if 12 at the World Alpaca Fleece Show - 2009 Nationals. And we couldn't help but notice one of the other 11 in her class was the 2009 fawn female Futurity Champion.!

Twyla Belle is typey and what a wonderful fine, dense fleece! Lots of character, but most exceptional is the handle and brightness. Plus she has her mom's SUPER density. Twyla has silver gray on her legs and a silver sheen to her nose. She also had gray on her topline as a cria. Her dad has shown as a rose grey as well as brown.

Her father is a son of the late Silas of Bolivia, which makes him a paternal brother to our Amelia Braveheart - our very best producing dam. We have reason to like those genetics. ;^)

Twyla has given us two boys - both of which have been sold. Her son Beau won Blue at the Nationals Fleece Show, and a second in halter. Her son Phoenix is too young to show, his new owners will have that fun! We would love to keep her, but we are selecting hard for black and grey, so Twyla has been reduced to a quick sale price. This was a tough decision! But they all are, so here she is. Bred to Zeppelin, she is likely to be carrying a star.

Fourth Place at the 2008 SWRAS in a tough fawn class. Jude loved her fleece.
