Rainier Alpacas proudly presents AOBA 05' National's Gray Color Champion, Emerald Farms Rincon Cloud, sire to the 2010 National Color Champion Golden Year's Liberator. He is a light silver grey champion male who is in his sixth year of breeding. Rincon is the product of a very selective breeding program and comes from a background of silver champions. Rincon's dam is a gorgeous silver chilean from Emerald Farms and his sire is silver grey, six time color champion, Cresent Moon's Rayo Del Sol. His grand sire is the award winning silver grey male, Patagonia's Danko. At Nationals 05', Dr. Julio Sumar noted that Rincon was an excellent breed standard, compact, carries himself with extreme pride and very, very dense. He also has that beautiful Rayo Del Sol head with a heavily fibered face. Rincon's first cria entered the ring in a big way for their first ever show at AlpacaPalooza 07'. Every single cria went home a winner. Often youngest in their classes they overwhelmingly impressed the judges taking Get of Sire (ahead of Nishio and Absolute),Gray Female Color Champion, Gray Female Reserve Color Champion and many firsts. The 2010 National Silver Color champion, Golden Years Liberator is another Rincon Cloud progeny. Rincon is predominately throwing silver, rose gray and blue black. He has put his unique stamp on his cria that is paying off in the show ring. Rincon's cria have inherited his extreme density, full fibered head, ultra fine fiber and beautiful crimp style that the judges could not resist. Rincon's ability to improve the dam has been dramatic. You don't have to bring a blue ribbon winner to Rincon to produce a champion cria. Rincons cria are selling at top dollar at the ripe age of six months old. Rincon has proven the test of time and is still repeatedly producing banner winners! If you are looking for the best in genetics and the very best in greys...we welcome you to take a closer look at....
Dam:
MFI Cadence
| AOA# 819332 | Dark Silver Grey
|
Cadence was the very proud matriarch of Landmark Farm, and was humanely euthanized at age 19 1/2. She was one of our first foundation dams out of two Chilean imports.
Cadence was a sweet girl and easy to handle, but she had an exuberance that defied her age and she was a wonderful guard alpaca. She came from very thrifty, hardy stock, and passed exceptionally strong immune systems to her crias, with very high IgG's at birth.
Cadence's dark silver grey fleece was very close to being black, and had the most marvelous bluish tinge to it. Some of her grey offspring have the same bluish tinge, like little blue-haired ladies! She maintained very good coverage in her advancing years and her fleece remained under 30 microns, which is quite exceptional for an almost twenty-year-old grey!
Description
Aramantha is one of two girls on our farm with the West Coast genetics of the 2005 AOBA National Grey Color Champion, Emerald Farm's Rincon Cloud. Rincon comes from a champion grey lineage, sired by Crescent Moon's Rayo Del Sol, and grandson of Patagonia's Danko. Aramantha's dam is our Chilean foundation matriarch (now deceased), dark silver grey, MFI Cadence.
Aramantha is a lovely grey girl with very correct confirmation. Her color is a very even medium silver grey, with an adorable black heart on the left side of her back! She is actually a bluish grey, which always brings compliments from our shearer. Each year, with the first sweep of his shears, he always comments "Oh, what a GORGEOUS color!"
Aramantha was a wild child when she was born. What a pistol! We are happy to report that motherhood has slowed her down a bit, but she still holds the title of farm busy body and her nickname is Whacky Packy! She will have her nose in whatever you are doing!
Aramantha's crias are small mooses when they are born! Her first was 20.1 pounds, her second 19.2 pounds, and her third was 23.5 pounds!
Aramantha milks like a Jersey cow! She probably could, and would, nurse two if we ever needed her to. When her second cria was just days old, while nursing, a second same-age boy would sneak up under her to steal snacks from the other milk bar in the barn, and she would let him!
Aramantha's third cria, Appalachian Blue, has been sold to Granite Alpaca Company where he is being used in their grey color breeding program! Her first-born, Smudged in Black, a gorgeous dark silver grey fiber male, has been sold to Pendle Alpacas! When bred well, Aramantha is a reliable producer of some beautiful crias!
Awards Received:
Because Aramantha was agisted when she was born to us, and because of bio-security concerns, she has never been shown.
